Wiesner also has a commitment to our homebuilding industry. In 2009, he was the president of the NCHBA, the largest HBA in the country. Traveling over 30,000 miles, he visited 55 of the 65 local HBA’s in North Carolina, speaking to over 8000 HBA members. He made multiple trips to Washington to meet with congressional delegates on the industry’s behalf, and met several times with Governor Perdue to discuss methods of relief for housing industry in NC.  Frank is a Trustee of the NC Builder Institute, a board member of Habitat for Humanity of Durham County.  He is an active member of the local HBA-DOC & RWC, the NAHB, Raleigh and Durham Realtor Associations, and the TSMC. He is a charter member of the Professional Women in Building Council, a Green Building Council member, and was the Keynote Speaker at the NC Legislature Vocational Education Conference. Olde South Homes was awarded the Triangle Sales and Marketing Council’s MAME Building Company of the Year Award for an unprecedented ninth time. The award is given based on industry involvement, product development, advertising, merchandising, broker relations, success in the marketplace and significant contributions to the Real Estate industry. Olde South Homes is also a 3-Time winner of the Durham Orange Chatham County HBA Builder of the Year.
